AS/NZS 3800:2020, “Electrical equipment for explosive atmospheres—Repair and overhaul”

The performance expectation of AS/NZS 3800:2020 clause 4.4.1.3 and B.4 is that training will occur every three years to maintain appropriate competence, unless alternatives demonstrate continued competence to the assessor or exceptional circumstances appear. This is not intended to mandate a minimum frequency but highlights the best practice intent of the committee. Nevertheless, a workshop may be able to demonstrate effectiveness at a frequency greater than three years.
