Standards for explosion-protected electrical equipment/ apparatus
(equipment/apparatus Standards)

Standards issued by the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee EL-014, Standards Australia Committee EL-023 and International Electrotechnical Commission Technical Committee TC31 Standards are accepted for use within the Product Certification Program (ANZEx Scheme). Any restrictions imposed by the Installation Standards AS/NZS 2381.1 or AS/NZS 61241.14 shall be observed.

Standards for explosion-protected electrical equipment/ apparatus

Only the current issue or revision of a Standard, or the issue or revision immediately prior o the current, is to be used for the issue of ANZEx Certificates of Conformity except as given in Clause 3.3.1.3.1. Where a Standard is superseded or withdrawn, the Standard that replaces it shall be considered as the next edition for the purpose of this Paragraph.
However, Restricted Type Test Certificates may be issued to demonstrate conformity to the current or any edition of a Standard meeting the requirements of Paragraph C.1. One example where it may be necessary to issue a Restricted Type Test Certificate to an old edition of a Standard may be the result of repair, overhaul or modification of Ex equipment under an Approved or Certified Ex Repair Workshop.

 

 

Additional standards may be added from time to time.
